For a long time there has been much talk about organic products and natural cosmetics, but not everyone is aware of what really is behind the certainty of products certified as organic.
In order to be defined as organic, the cosmetic products must be approved by a controlled body that certifies the quality with a special logo to be affixed on the packaging; They must comply with the list of ingredients allowed and the processing methods, as well as the limits of the minimum content of natural substances and the maximum content of similar natural substances. Each type of product follows a different criteria (for instance those applicable to a shower gel are different from those applicable to a cream) because of their different functional use.
They must contain a higher minimum percentage of natural unprocessed ingredients, of which 95% has to be organic.
Given the restrictiveness of the latter certification, it can be obtained only by some types of cosmetics.
